Building intelligent systems for a safer, more productive world.

For more than ten years I’ve worked where code meets hardware: industrial automation, autonomous robotics and utility-scale energy storage. Today I’m Software Development Director at EQS Inc., a Canadian Solar company. I joined as a founding hire and built the engineering team behind its real-time controllers, backend platforms, edge and cloud infrastructure, and UI.

I grew up in Kuwait, moved to the US for university and started my career there, then came to Canada to join Avidbots. Today I live in the Toronto area. I come from four generations of engineers, so building has always been how I solve problems. Away from work I’m usually playing guitar or wiring up another Raspberry Pi at home.
